Hello! I’m Sara, the owner of Ebb & Flow Bodywork - a home-based practice offering customized, therapeutic, trauma-informed bodywork for women. My work is rooted in a deeply client-centered approach. I listen closely to your needs, respect your boundaries, and never push your body beyond what feels safe or appropriate. Communication is the cornerstone of my practice, and each session is guided by collaboration, consent, and trust. My goal is to help you feel capable, supported, and deeply connected to your body.
Philosophy & Approach
My approach blends therapeutic bodywork with nervous system awareness to support both physical pain relief and long-term regulation. I don’t view the body as something that needs to be “fixed.” Instead, I introduce new, supportive stimulus to your nervous system so your body can access its own innate ability to heal, adapt, and reorganize.
Through intentional touch, movement, and regulation-based techniques, we encourage hydration and adaptability of the fascia (the connective tissue system that influences posture, mobility, pain patterns, and overall body awareness). When the nervous system feels safe, the body becomes more receptive to change and can release long-held protective patterns.
Open, honest communication is a core part of my work. I prioritize creating a space where you feel comfortable sharing feedback, sensations, boundaries, and needs throughout your session. Whether it’s pressure preferences, emotional responses, sensory sensitivities, or simply needing to pause and breathe, your voice matters. Your comfort and sense of safety guide every session.
Each session is fully customized and may include a combination of:
Therapeutic massage techniques (deep tissue + Swedish)
Myofascial release and craniosacral-inspired techniques
Guided breathing and gentle visualization
Assisted and passive stretching
Nervous system regulation support
Intentional, grounded, trauma-informed touch
Complimentary enhancements such as hot towels, cupping, and heated scraping therapy
These modalities help warm and hydrate soft tissues, improve circulation, increase mobility, and reduce bracing patterns held in the body. By prioritizing safety, communication, and consistency, we create the conditions for deeper, more sustainable healing, not quick fixes or temporary relief.
This work is collaborative. Your body leads. I provide the support, presence, and skilled input to help guide the process.

Work With Me
Schedule your initial bodywork session online. This first appointment is where we begin building our working relationship and set the foundation for your care.
Book Your First Session
Your first session is fully customized to your body and nervous system that day. We’ll check in about your goals, areas of tension or discomfort, and how your body is feeling, then move into hands-on bodywork designed to support relaxation, relief, and regulation.
Experience The Magic
After your session, we’ll talk about what your body responded to and what it may need moving forward. Together, we’ll create a realistic plan for frequency and focus so you can experience consistent progress instead of temporary relief.
Create Your Treatment Plan
-
Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can settle in and begin with an conversation. We’ll review your intake, clarify your goals, and discuss what’s going on in your body today.
From there, we’ll move into the hands on work, tailored specifically to you. I prioritize safety, education, and connection.
After the session, we’ll take time to debrief and gently integrate you back into your body. We’ll discuss aftercare and, if appropriate, create a treatment plan that supports your long term goals.
-
Make sure you’ve completed you intake form before your session start time. Come 10 mins early, hydrated and avoid a heavy meal right before your appointment. Wear comfortable clothing and plan to undress to your comfort level for hands on sessions (you will always be professionally draped). If you prefer to stay clothed or partly clothed, wear or bring along comfortable clothing.
If possible, give yourself a little buffer time before and after your session. Try not to schedule anything stressful immediately afterward so your body has space to integrate.
Most importantly, come as you are. You don’t need to “fix” anything, or understand your body perfectly. We’ll meet it together.
-
Pressure is subjective. I aim to work with a comfortable but therapeutic pressure for both you and I. Instead of “how much can you tolerate,” we focus on how your body responds -prioritizing pleasure over pain. You are always in control and can request adjustments at any time.
-
If this is your first visit, I typically recommend 90 minutes. This gives us time to talk, assess, and fully address your goals without feeling rushed.
60 minutes is great for focused work or a full body “sweep”
90 minutes allows for deeper, more comprehensive full body work and nervous system support.
A longer session offers more space, especially for your first session. We can always adjust future bookings based on how your body responds.
-
It depends on your goals and how your body responds to the work.
For chronic pain or high stress, biweekly sessions can help create momentum.
For preventative care, once a month is often enough to stay ahead of tension patterns.
During your first session, we’ll discuss what frequency feels supportive and sustainable for you. My goal is to create a rhythm that helps your body feel safe, supported, and consistent over time.

No. I do not accept insurance.
I choose not to work directly with insurance because it allows me to focus on providing higher-quality, individualized, and longer, uninterrupted sessions rather than being limited by insurance billing requirements, treatment restrictions, or documentation mandates.
